Golf Tournament Benefits Scholarship

Escalon High School retired coach Peter Arellano is hosting the third annual Athletic Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament, set for Saturday, June 14 at the Escalon Golf Course.

Cost is $50 per golfer or $200 per team, prepaid by Monday, June 2. Registration includes green fees, 18 holes of golf, donuts in the morning, lunch after the event and water.

Arellano served at the school from 1956 to 1990 and this golf tournament helps raise money for two $1,000 awards; one for girls track and one for girls or boys cross country. Arellano helped organized those two sports while coaching at EHS.

The four-person scramble format starts with registration from7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8 a.m., with lunch at noon. Awards will be presented after lunch.
