In a late December tournament, members of the Escalon Wrestling Club had some good showing for the local organization.

On Dec. 17, the EWC wrestlers traveled to Tokay High School. In session I, the 5-and 6-year-old division placing third was Adam Cordeiro. Runner ups were Aaron Quiroz, Freddy Velasco and Johnny Van Dyk with one Champion being crowned in Liam Ginger.

In the 7- and 8-year-old beginner division finishing third was Luke Konradi and Josefina Lopez. Runner ups were Frankie Laney and Athena Quiroz. Coming away with another Champion Medal was Tyler Powell. In the advanced 7-8 division Noah Dooley finished fourth and the club’s previous State Runner-Up Ramon Hinojosa walked away with the gold.

Session II in the 9-10 year-old beginner division placing fourth was Beau Morgan. Placing third were Donovan Martinez and Ethan Tellez. Second place medals went to Hayden Castro, Mikey Bell and Jake Daluz. In the advanced 9-10 division Caleb Boatman placed third with Ryan Lewis as Champion.

In the 11-12 advanced division JW Mills placed third, Christian Rowe came in second as Sam Hinojosa was the Champion. Beau Daluz was victorious in his beginner bracket and walked away the Champion.

Advanced wrestlers in the 13-15 year-old division included Thomas Rowe and Luis Garcia placing second with two Champions, EJ Lewis and Sebastian Snow.

On Dec. 23, the Club traveled to Hughson. In the first session of 5-6 year olds Johnny Van Dyk placed fourth, Freddy Velasco third, Liam Ginger runner up and Vincent Reis as Champion.

In the 7-8 beginner division Ace Krasko and Frankie Laney both received a third place medal with Dalton Shinn as runner up.

Session II 9-10 beginner division winners were Hayden Castro and Donovan Martinez placing third and Mikey Bell as Champion. In the advanced division Logan Dooley placed second as Alex Gutierrez and Luca Cerasi were Champions.

In the 11-12 year-old division JW Mills and Frankie Rodriguez both placed third while Alex Gutierrez placed second in his second bracket. To finish session II in the 13-15 year-old division, Sebastian Snow placed third with Thomas Rowe as Champion.
