Continuing what has been dominance on the court, this year’s edition of the Escalon High tennis team has certainly been on a roll.

The squad went through its first five Trans-Valley League matches with a 5-0 record and, in doing so, lost just one set to compile an astounding 44-1 mark. They hope to continue the streak when they return to TVL action, with an eye on making it to section competition as well.

The tennis players earn a collective Athlete of the Week honor from The Times for their efforts and for being an adaptable group. Coach Dan Thompson has utilized players in many different spots and they always seem to find a way to deliver the ‘W’ for the team.
