The annual Sports Physicals Night at Escalon High School is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This is the one time during the year that the doctors come together to offer the low-cost physical, which is required of all athletes planning to play a sport at local schools during the 2013-14 school year.

The local offices of Dr. Bob Peterson, Escalon Chiropractic with Dr. John Bystrom and Travis Bartelink put on the physicals night, with the fee just $20. Also assisting are members of Escalon Community Ambulance.

“This has been a nice service the doctors in the community have put on,” said Escalon High School Athletic Director Mark Loureiro. “All kids have to have the physicals before they can practice.”

Practices for the fall sports season are scheduled to start on Monday, Aug. 12 and school in Escalon resumes a week later, on Monday, Aug. 19.
