“At the TVL Frosh Soph finals our boys finished fifth and girls finished fourth with Ripon winning both divisions,” noted head coach Carrie Nash. “It was a very competitive day on the track and field. The TVL has always been strong and this year was no different. For some of our athletes this was their last meet, but many others will advance on to the TVL Varsity finals on May 5 in Riverbank.”

For the TVL Varsity finals, each team is allowed to enter three athletes in each event.

“With our teams being on the young side, many of the frosh/soph kids will get another chance to compete on Thursday. It will be another opportunity for them to work to improve their times and marks,” Nash added.

The top three athletes in each event will qualify for the Section meet. Field events start at 3 p.m. at Angelo Novi Field in Riverbank on Thursday and the running events start at 6 p.m.
