Open Swim At Pool

As the summer continues, the Escalon community pool offers swimming from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at a cost of $2 per person. Swim passes are available at City Hall. All ages are welcome to take part.

 

Physicals Night Set

Athletes planning to take part in a sport at any time during the 2019-2020 school year in Escalon can get the required sports physical at low cost on Tuesday, July 16. Physicals Night will be hosted at Escalon High School, cost is just $20, and the physical is good for the entire school year. Hours for the event on July 16 are 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All students planning to take part in a sport must have the physical; you can get one at the Physicals Night or get one from your own physician and submit the required paperwork.

 

Flag Football Sign-Ups

Local youngsters can register now for the upcoming NFL Flag Football program, with registration running through Aug. 23. The season will run Oct. 19 through Dec. 7 and games will be played at Hogan-Ennis Field on Saturdays. Cost for Escalon Unified School District residents is $65; cost for non-EUSD residents is $75. Divisions are based on the child’s age as of Sept. 1, 2019. Division offered are 7U for ages 5 to 7; 10U for ages 8 to 10; and 14U for ages 11 to 14. Registration is being taken online at www.cityofescalon.org.

 

Sign Up For Scuba

Aquatic Discount Scuba in Escalon is offering its Introduction to Scuba program at the Escalon community pool on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost is $15 for ages 10 and up for the intro to scuba diving; bring a towel, swim suit and sunscreen to class. Register online at www.cityofescalon.org.
