Wayne Leroy Engel, 76, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at Hospice House in Hughson, CA.
He taught in Ceres Unified School District and Amador County Unified School District. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley (Wallis) Engel; children Carrie Johnen and husband Steve; Ray Engel and wife Denise, and Marrie Nyunt and husband Phay; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Grace Engel, and sister, Carol Prater.
Private services with family and friends were held graveside at Burwood Cemetery.
