Ward Rogers “Chee” is survived by sons Bruce (Jan) and Gordon (Tammy), daughter Corey, granddaughter Alexa, grandsons Nick and Chaz, child of his heart, Steve Agostini and devoted wife of 65 years, Marian. Born in 1926 to Susanna and Charles Rogers, Ward was a US Navy trained radio man in WW2 and worked at Lawrence Berkeley Cyclotron, with five Nobel Laureates and other notable organizations. He was a pioneer in the semiconductor industry and was proud and humbled by having parts on the first Apollo mission to the moon.

A complicated man, with strong opinions on the state of the world and the human condition, he was an old school gentleman and scholar. He will be missed for his kindness, wisdom and brilliance.
