Vida Ruth Keirn, 93, died at her home in Sacramento on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 25.

She was a born caregiver who provided loving care to many in her family, and community as well. She had a strong faith in God, which was evident throughout her long life. She never failed to touch the lives of those she came in contact with and one of her favorite Bible verses was Romans 8:28.

Survivors include her daughter, Marlene Eqerer of Oakdale; son, Daryll Keirn of Placerville; brother Lloyd Barton of Modesto and sister Marjorie Peterson of Modesto; her grandchildren Troy Keirn, Deana Choate, Judy Petrali, Matthew Eqerer, Nathan Eqerer, Melissa Mayberry, Jeremy Fast; 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Keirn.

Memorial service was held Friday, Dec. 3 at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel with burial following at Lakewood Memorial Park. www.deeganfuneralchapels.com
