Norbert Koller bw

Norbert Koller, 71, entered into rest on December 23, 2015 in Calaveras County. He was born in Switzerland on May 21, 1944. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Marie Koller and one sister Lydia Gut-Koller.
Mr. Koller is survived by his wife of 29 years Mary Koller. He was blessed by two daughters Jessica and Lilliana Koller of Escalon. He is survived by nine siblings, all of Switzerland; Albert Koller, Hans Koller, Erwin Koller, Sepp Koller, Annemarie Keller-Koller, Josephine Keller-Koller, Rita Elser-Koller, Bea Koller and Werner Koller. Norbert moved from Switzerland to California at age 19. He worked for J.R. Simplot of Lathrop and retired after 42 years of service. He was a member of the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Hall, Escalon Sportsmen Club, and the Men of St. Patrick’s. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with his wife and daughters. He enjoyed wine making, skiing, canning and golfing. He loved to travel and especially looked forward to his annual ski trip every January with friends. Norbert was extremely social and enjoyed good friends, great wine, and wonderful conversation over an appetizing meal.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband and an amazing father who had a zest for life. He will be deeply missed.
