MARLA (GRAMMIE) HARE

Marla Hare (Wattson) went peacefully to be with the Lord on February 10, 2023 with her family by her side at Brenda’s Place, in Escalon, CA. She was born in Stockton, California and was raised in Santa Clara where she graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1959. She moved to Escalon in 1964 and that is where she raised her family. Marla received the HJ Heinz Award in 1993 and was honored with the Escalon High School PTSA Award in 1991. Marla enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, sister, children, grandchildren, niece, and nephews. She loved being a part of the Escalon High School Football Boosters from the years 1988-1991. She was an avid fan of the SF 49ers and NASCAR. As an active member of the community, she helped organize Park Fete for over 20 years.

Marla is survived by her children, Kelli (Bredal) Dunn and David of Milliken, Colorado, Thomas (Tom) Bredal of Escalon, stepson Duane Hare, stepdaughter Jamie Short, grandchildren Tanner Bredal, Shelby and Thomas Dunn, step grandchildren Nicholas and Kyra Hare, Cerulean Short, step great grandchildren, Gabriel and James Hare, Marla’s sister, Linda Medici (Wattson) of San Luis Obispo, CA, niece, Kristi (Short) Casteneda and Jaime of Paso Robles, CA, and Kevin and Elizabeth Medici of Atascadero, CA, great nephews, Sullivan and Bear Medici, and McNamee cousins (Carol, Susie, Jim, and Donna). Predeceased in death by her parents, Donald and Mildred Wattson, husband William (Mike Hare), and grandson Tyler Joseph Parks. A celebration of her life has been planned for all family and invited friends July 8, 2023 at the Escalon Sportsman’s Club.
