Mark Edward Swass passed away at the age of 87 on July 28, 2015. He was born on August 5, 1927 to Frank Swass and Fay Swass Medeiros in Modesto, California. Mark was a resident of Escalon, CA for 61 years.
Mark leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Evelyn Swass, his son Daniel Swass of Escalon, CA and his daughter Susan (Charles) Mussett of Los Banos, CA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan (Gina) Swass of Modesto, CA; Callie (Rob) Caddell of Sparks, NV; Zachary Swass of Las Vegas, NV; and Tyrell Minnis – Swass of Escalon, CA and great granddaughter Claire Caddell and great grandson on the way, Robert Charles Caddell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Swass and Fay Swass Medeiros and his brother Francis (Estelle) Swass.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A visitation was held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, August 5, 2015 a Rosary will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ripon at 10 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356 and the Escalon Historical Society, 1630 Main, Escalon, CA 95320.
