Mae E. (Elizabeth) Robinson, 96, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5.

She was born Oct. 9, 1917 and will be remember as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great, great-grandmother. She was the center of the family universe and will be missed.

She was a devoted member of Escalon Republican Women Federated for over 50 years.

Mrs. Robinson was a licensed psychiatric technician for the State of California.

She loved her family first and loved to host family dinners –well known for her fried chicken. In her later years she enjoyed playing cards with her retired friends.

Survivors include three children, Colleen Woods of Fresno, Bonnie Tabor of Modesto, Carl Robinson of Stockton, and a daughter-in-law, Helen Robinson; two siblings, Gladys Eiland of Los Angeles and Alfred Stapleton of Modesto; six grandchildren, Rick McCombs of Modesto, Cindy Brown of Fresno, Michael McCombs of Modesto, Diane Goin of Clovis, Cheryl Camacho of San Antonio, Texas and Robbie Robinson of San Angelo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Robinson and son, Charles Alfred Robinson.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Deegan Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 12 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., Escalon at 11 a.m.

Burial will take place at Burwood Cemetery at 2 p.m.
