Louise Ellis Fisher, 98, passed away earlier this month in Hughson.

She was born in Merced to James and Augusta Utterback in 1914.

She was a talented artist, a skill she began developing in her 70s. She also enjoyed using the computer and kept in touch with friends and family all over the U.S. via email even at the age of 95. She dearly loved her dog Brandi who was like family.

Survivors include her children, Jim Fisher of Lafayette, CA and Susan Clark of Salida; sister Betty Ferran of Napa; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Fisher; son Peter Fisher; sister Zelma Fry and brother Bob Utterback.

A special debt of gratitude goes to dear friend Bette Valk for her friendship and her care of and love for Louise over many years. The family also wishes to thank the staff at Parkview Christian Estates for their many special acts of kindness.
