Lorene Emma (Walker) Ruble, 83, died Saturday, Jan. 29 at Riverbank Nursing Home.

Born in Arkansas, she had lived at the Riverbank Nursing Home for five years and prior to that lived in Escalon. She worked at The Donut Shack in Escalon for many years and she also sold jewelry. She liked to garden and was a 'ball of fire' who liked people.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Escalon and the Order of Eastern Star, Escalonia Chapter #447.

She is survived by her son, Richard Ruble and his wife Susan of Roseville; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ruble, in 1992 and a son, Craig Ruble.

No visitation. Services will be Saturday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon. Interment will be at Burwood Cemetery, River Road, Escalon.
