Isabel Florinda Vasconcellos, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 in Clovis, Ca.

She was born Isabel F. Viera on Aug. 17, 1920 in Hollister, California. She married Alfred Vasconcellos on Jan. 29, 1940 and settled in Turlock and Manteca, raising four children.

Survivors include her sisters Margaret Vasconcellos of Turlock, Lucy Bettencourt of Escalon and sister-in-law Evelyn Calderon (Joe) of Turlock; her children, Robert (Diane) Vasconcellos of Los Gatos, Donald (Barbara) Vasconcellos of North Fork, Ronald (Ruth) Vasconcellos of Morro Bay and Lorraine Vasconcellos of Clovis; eight grandchildren, Gary Vasconcellos, Lisa Vasconcellos, Chris Vasconcellos, Eric Vasconcellos, Anne Van Eyk, Anthony Vasconcellos, Carrie Vasconcellos, Rachel Busic; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Vasconcellos, brothers Joaquin and John Viera, sisters Bernadette Taylor and Helen Calabretta.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Deegan Funeral Chapel.

There will be a viewing and Rosary at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. and internment at nearby St John’s cemetery. Reception will follow.
