Irene Lucille Bundy, 86, passed away after a short illness on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014 in Modesto.

She was born Irene Vandervort in Ottawa, Illinois on May 16, 1928. She worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company at three different plants for 22 years. She lived in Streator and Ottawa, Illinois for many years before moving to California.

She enjoyed the simple things in life: spending time with her family, outings at the park and traveling.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Edward J. Bundy; children, Edward L. (Johnna) Bundy, Rebecca (Mauro) Del Peloso, Jeff (Clair) Chapple, Gayle Gabbard, Corey (Bonnie) Chapple, Patricia Morford, Cheryl (Mark) Shiffler and Brian Bundy; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Donna Mumper of Ottawa, IL and Walter Mumper of Ottawa, IL.

Memorial donations in her name can be made to the Cancer Society.
