Harriet M. Hallonquist, 106, died quietly at her home in Farmington on Thursday, Sept. 9.

She had celebrated her 106th birthday this past March 5.

She was born in Stockton in 1904 and moved to Farmington and purchased a ranch on Henry Road in 1966 after the death of her husband Charles. Mrs. Hallonquist was a librarian in Alameda for several years. While an avid photographer and gardener, roses were her specialty.

While in Farmington she raised and showed Arabian horses with many awards to her credit.

Survivors include her cousin Don's wife Becky Becker of Forestville, and their children Brian Becker of San Francisco, Kurt Becker of Forestville and Morgan Becker of Berkeley, as well as her caregivers and many friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and May Lanzone, her husband Charles, and her cousin Don Becker.

No services, per her request.
