Giuliana Sargenti, 89, peacefully entered into rest on July 14, 2016. She was born on April 3, 1927 in Italy to her late parents Serafino and Ida Paoli and spent over 50 years living in Escalon. Giuliana leaves behind her loving son, William Sargenti, her grandchildren Julie McCoy, Sonja Spiller, Matthew Sargenti, Shelly Poyorena, August Sargenti and Reanna Sargenti, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Giuliana was an immigrant war bride at the age of 19. She spent most of her years in San Joaquin County. She will be remembered most for her cooking and a good “Dego Backhand.” She would always say “Love you more.” She will be remembered for her integrity, honesty and love for others.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapels. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin Street in Escalon. A Funeral Mass will held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1225 Olive Street in Oakdale, followed by burial at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 East River Road in Escalon.
