Edward James Lomba, 95, of Escalon died Wednesday, April 14 in Stockton.

Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he had lived in Escalon for the past four years.

He was a retired fire alarm operator for the City of Oakland and a 40-year member of the I.B.E.W., as well as a lifetime member of the Society of Wireless Pioneers.

Survivors include his children, Janice and Harold Martin of Escalon, Diane and David Walker of Vancouver, British Columbia; brother, Sam Lomba of Hayward; and four grandchildren.

Services and interment were private at Evergreen Cemetery in Oakland.
