Dave graduated in 1961 from Escalon High School. Afterwards, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Ord, California. He worked at Bank of the West in Escalon and Stockton for a few years. He then worked in Cost Accounting for the Riverbank Munitions Plant for several years. On June 17, 1972 he proudly opened Dave’s Drive–In in Escalon. He took great pleasure and joy in being a part of the Escalon Business Community for 18 years.
During this time, he met Dale Arnett, and they married October 20, 1973. After selling the Drive–In he purchased a Chrome Plating shop and later the D&D Dress Shop. After selling those businesses, Dave went into almond ranching and after 20 years, he sold the ranch and he and Dale moved to Southern Oregon. There he built a beautiful home in the Applegate River area where they lived for 12 years before returning to California two years ago.
Dave was a man of many talents, a loving husband, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
