Services were held for long time Escalon resident Dallas Lee Stone, 85, who died Saturday, Nov. 13 in Modesto after a short illness.
He was born May 6, 1925 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Ollie Stone and Beatrice Edwards Stone.
Mr. Stone came to California in 1944 with his family and purchased property on South Sexton Road where he farmed for many years.
He was a member of the Church of Christ church on River Road. He enjoyed putting puzzles together, raising rabbits and farming.
Survivors include his siblings, Louella Tune of Escalon, Norman Stone of Manteca, George Stone of Newman, John Stone of Redding; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and dear friends Peter and Evelyn Martini and Pete Martini.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jewell Gray, Rufus, Don and James Stone.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
Services were held at Burwood Cemetery on Thursday, Nov. 18 with arrangements by Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon.
