Cecelia Rose Dismukes peacefully passed away July 19, 2022 at the age of 95 in Escalon, CA surrounded by her loving family. Cecelia was born at home July 18, 1927, on the family ranch on Parker Road in Modesto, CA to Vincent and Assunta Petrucci. She was delivered by her grandmother, Cecelia, for whom she was named after. In 1930, the Petrucci family settled in Escalon where Cecelia attended school and graduated from Escalon Union High School. Wasting no time, the day after graduation Cecelia started working for Central Valley Bank and later moved on to work for Petri Winery. In 1949 she married the love of her life, Paul Dismukes, and they created a beautiful life together.

Cecelia was an active member of the community, especially at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where she served as a Charter member of Y.L.I. (Young Ladies Institute). Cecelia was the matriarch of the family. She loved to host parties and all family gatherings for the holidays. She had a knack for cooking and could turn a bare cupboard into a five-star gourmet meal. She was truly the heart of the family and will be greatly missed.

Cecelia is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Paul Dismukes; her siblings, Madeline DeVincenzi, Louis Petrucci, Violet Germano and Vincent E. Petrucci. Cecelia is survived by her children, Patty Dismukes (Patty), Paula Rocha, Paul V. Dismukes, and Kathleen Robertson (Kevin), all of Escalon; grandchildren, Shawn Rocha (Tia) of Stockton, Kathleen Gonzalez of Escalon, John Lial (Krysten) of Escalon, Emily Dismukes of Los Angeles, Vincent Rocha of Escalon, Matthew Robertson of Escalon, Julianne Dismukes of Escalon, Jaime Gonzalez of Escalon, and Jack Rocha of Modesto; 13 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren.

Cecelia will be laid to rest at a private family service. A Celebration of Life will be held later. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Escalon Community Ambulance.
