Carol Sue Thorington, 62, died Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Palo Alto VA Hospital after a battle with cancer.
She was born in Escalon and lived in Riverbank.
Mrs. Thorington was retired. She was a member of Christ The King Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Thorington of Riverbank; daughters, Marcheta Alford, Paula (Rick) Bussell, all of Modesto; brothers, Jerry Rapier, John Rapier, Jim Rapier; and grandchildren, Chris, Brett, and Erika.
She was preceded in death by her father, JD Rapier; mother, Geneva Loger; sister, Sharon Davis; and son, Eric Person.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23 at Christ The King Episcopal Church, 6443 Estelle Ave., Riverbank. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
Remembrances may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or to Community Hospice.
