Agustin R. Reyes, 78, passed away on Saturday, March 26 at his home in Escalon.

He was born on Aug. 28, 1932 in Nochistlan Zac Mexico.

He was a very honest man who was a hard worker, he was always positive, never to speak badly of anyone. He was a good soul and loved to laugh, he was a good example for everyone, always putting others first. He enjoyed music, soccer games, vacationing in Mexico, taking walks, cooking for his family, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Armando Reyes of Newark, Agustin Reyes of San Jose, Carlos Reyes of San Jose, Alma Ceniceros of Escalon, Laura Ceniceros of Escalon, Luis Reyes of Escalon and David Reyes of San Diego; 21 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his siblings, Mercedes Mejia of Los Angeles, Pedro Reyes of Mexico, Mario Reyes of San Bruno, and Jose Reyes of Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Socorro Reyes in 2008, his sister Esperanza Hernandez in 2010, and his parents.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 31 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon.

His Rosary-Mass will be on Friday, April 1 at noon at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with burial following at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
