Youth Sports Loom, City Hall Opens
city

Sign-ups for the Escalon Youth Baseball/Softball have been going on and officials said late Tuesday that they were closing in on having enough coaches in place to move forward with the season.

“Today we have been able to secure most of the coaches. We are currently only missing one Head Coach for the Minor Boys,” City Manager Tammy Alcantor noted on March 16.

Coaches must be in place for all teams before the youngsters can take the field for games.

Also, Alcantor said, as San Joaquin County continues to move toward Red Tier status, the decision has been made to re-open City Hall and the associated city offices as of Wednesday, March 17.

City Hall/Council Chambers are at 2060 McHenry Ave., Escalon.
