Wellness Campaign Benefits Participants, Medical Centers
move it

Community Medical Centers has announced a new initiative, MoveIt! 2021, a community health challenge that allows participants (“Movers”) to get fit and give back. Through the Charity Footprints platform, Movers will set a personal goal and walk, run, play, cycle — whatever moves them — through four virtual loops around CMC locations in San Joaquin, Solano, and Yolo counties. Movers are encouraged to log their steps, share with their networks, and help raise funds toward a community goal of $25,000 and 25,000 miles.

CMC is a long-standing leader in the community, helping uninsured, underserved, and vulnerable individuals and families for over 50 years. Its staff provides personalized care that meets the needs of each patient through a combination of medical, dental, and behavioral health care along with supportive services. Funds raised through MoveIt! 2021 go directly to programs and services at CMC’s network of 28 service sites, serving over 100,000 patients in San Joaquin, Solano, and Yolo counties.

There are four mileage goals to choose from, each representing a different part of CMC’s service area. Movers can participate individually, form a team, or become a Shaker and sponsor the event. Participants will be able to track their progress through fitness devices (Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch, Google Fit, Misfit, Strava), or through the Charity Footprints’ iOS or Android apps. Incentives will be provided for completing goals and prizes awarded to the top individuals and teams.

The Stockton Loop is 25 miles; the South San Joaquin Loop is 54 miles; San Joaquin Loop 111 miles; Solano/Yolo Loop 188 miles.

Registration is underway at charityfootprints.com/cmc-moveit/. Contact Sarah Taft at (209) 373-2435 or staft@cmcenters.org for sponsorship opportunities.
