The Valley Builders Exchange (VBE) recently announced that they have awarded scholarships to 27 students, including high school seniors, college students, and trade school students. The awards totaled $31,000.

This year’s scholarship recipients are Aaron Simpson, Brooke Nelson, Caden Lawrence, Preston Holder, Ella Cummins, Elliot Guzman, Mackenzie Rozevink, Jack Cummins, Izabella Streeter, Jaden Singh, Emma Albino, Seth Salabor, Liam Callahan, Ana Cervantes, and Claire Cummins. Also, Anthony Edwards, Myles Flint, Emily Thomas, Tanner Larocque, Leslie Gonzalez, Jisselle Hinchey, Sophia Hinchey, Bailey Johnson, Makenna Leonard, Garett Oxley, Sydney Streeter and Kylie Kulina.

VBE has been offering scholarships every year since 1998, and recently, they have started awarding Women in Construction scholarships for women pursuing an education in construction.

VBE has donated over $359,900 to support students’ education, thanks to the support and sponsorship from their members.

The awarded scholarships are determined by the VBE’s Scholarship Committee, based on funds available in the scholarship fund. Scholarship Committee Chair Julie Cole added that the committee was “delighted to have an abundance of outstanding applicants this year, all of whom truly deserve this scholarship.”

VBE was founded to help its members access public works opportunities, and has been ‘Building Success Since 1947’ by offering industry training, scholarships, educational and networking events.
