Vacancies on Farmington fire board
Farm FD

There are two seats now vacant on the Farmington Fire District Board of Directors and officials are hoping to get them filled later this month.

Those interested in applying for the position must be a registered voter in San Joaquin County and reside within the Farmington Fire District.

Any person interested in being appointed to fill the Board vacancies must submit a certified letter of interest to the Farmington Fire District Office by Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

The letters should be sent to P.O. Box 25, Farmington, California, 95230.

Fire Chief Matt Bailey said they won’t accept letters of interest at the meeting itself, as the board members want an opportunity to review the applications prior to making the appointments.

Vacant seats are those that were filled in the November 2024 election, won by Nancy Lemos and Frank ‘Ed’ Bracco Jr., but both have since resigned. The terms they won are for four years, so those appointed will serve out the remainder of those terms, through the end of 2028.

Jeff Briggs, who also won election in November, remains on the board in addition to President Christopher Lemos and Treasurer Cleve ‘Butch’ Latini.

Board of Directors members plan to fill the vacancies by appointment at the regular board meeting on Monday, May 26. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Farmington Fire Department, 25474 E. Highway 4, Farmington.
