The Modesto Junior College Cross Country Team invites anyone looking for an exercise opportunity to burn off holiday calories and stress to participate in the 19th Annual Modesto Turkey Trot and Gobbler Walk on Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Tuolumne River Regional Park in Modesto. The Trot, which is traditionally scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, was postponed due to unhealthy air quality conditions.
The fun run for boys and girls (13 years and under) will begin with a half mile boys race at 8:45 a.m., followed by a half mile girls race 9 a.m. The five kilometer run will start at 9:30 a.m. and the five kilometer Gobbler Walk begins at 9:35 a.m. The 5k course (3.1 miles) follows the Tuolumne River on a mostly paved path, passing through the old oak groves in the park.
The Turkey Trot proceeds support the MJC Women’s and Men’s Cross Country programs. For more information visit http://athletics.mjc.edu/sports/mxc/2018-19/releases/20180916xo825i or contact Coach Demitrius Snaer at firstname.lastname@example.org or (209) 575-6279.
