If you’re hungry at all in Escalon or Farmington this coming weekend, you will have a few different options to tempt your palate.
Two breakfasts are scheduled for Saturday, May 17 in Escalon and another is set for Sunday, May 18 in Farmington.
First, the Escalon American Legion Post 263 will serve up its annual Armed Forces Day Breakfast on Saturday, May 17 at the American Legion Hall, 1531 Second St., Escalon. Breakfast hours are 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The menu features pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, linguica, fruit cup, milk, juice and coffee. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and under. The meal is free to active duty personnel, just show your ID card. The Escalon Chamber of Commerce is also scheduled to have some representatives at the breakfast as they host a mixer at the Legion Post.
Just a short distance away on Saturday, another pancake breakfast is scheduled, that fundraiser being put on at Saron Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 17. Breakfast hours are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under. The menu features pancakes, sausage, bacon, juice and coffee. The church is at 1742 North St., Escalon.
Continuing the trend on Sunday, May 18, the 43rd Annual Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The meal will be hosted at the firehouse, corner of Escalon-Bellota Road and Highway 4 in Farmington.
The menu will feature pancakes, scrambled eggs, grilled ham, hot coffee, orange juice and water. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children. There will be hourly raffle drawings for prizes, giveaways and a silent auction. Proceeds will help support the needs of the department and provide scholarships for graduating seniors.
