Sunny weather on Saturday provided the perfect backdrop for the Escalon-Farmington Community Garden Club annual plant sale. From vegetables to succulents, herbs to annuals, whatever the home gardener was looking for, chances are they found it there. The sale was hosted at the Escalon United Methodist Church, and the proceeds will help the club provide scholarships for local graduating seniors. The next meeting of the club, open to all interested, is set for Thursday, April 6 at the church, 2000 Jackson Ave., at 1 p.m.
