Some Amenities Added In To Parks Use

As San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation Division has re-opened some regional and community parks effective May 18, they are also now able to allow disc golf with baskets, plus barbecues and horseshoe pits are available as well. Many other activities, such as playgrounds, covered picnic shelters and water play areas are still not accessible, but parks officials said they will open them as soon as they’re given the green light. Social distancing guidelines are still in place.

As a reminder, Micke Grove and Oak Grove regional parks are open only until 6 p.m. and the usual first-come/first-serve restrictions apply (i.e.: no bounce houses, trailer BBQ, amplified sound, etc.).

Before you visit, officials ask that you read the guidelines at: www.sjparks.com.
