With heavy rain throughout Saturday morning – and a few vendors not showing because of the bad weather – the weekend Christmas at Grandpa’s Barn nonetheless saw a solid turnout of shoppers for the annual event.

Run over two weekends, the first ran Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 and vendors ranged from Gold Canyon Candles to New Mettle Farms, Scentsy to Damsel in Defense. All brought some unique items to sell and ‘barn’ proprietor Lorina Cajias said she generally was pleased with the event.

There was also honey, plants, soaps, jewelry, lotions, spices and more to peruse.

This weekend will serve up much of the same, with the barn at 17693 Enterprise Road in Escalon open Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday hours on Dec. 9 are noon to 4 p.m.
