Service enhancements due for county transit

As of Sunday July 27, 2025, San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) will implement a series of service improvements designed to enhance schedule reliability, improve rider safety, and expand regional connections across San Joaquin County.

“These improvements represent our focus on reliability, dependability, and access,” said RTD CEO Alex Clifford. “We are listening to our riders and applying operational data to strengthen our network and meet the evolving needs of our community.”

Service enhancements include:

Route 40 & 40 L: Schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance.

Route 44: Minor timetable revisions for improved consistency.

Routes 510, 545, 555: Additional time added to schedules to help reduce delays and enhance reliability.

Route 515: Map changes implemented near Eighth and Lincoln to improve safety.

Routes 4 & 5: Increased frequency to every 30 minutes; Route 4 extended to Pixie Woods on all trips; Route 5 streamlined for greater efficiency.

Routes 90, 91, 93, 95: All routes to operate approximately every hour. Routes 90 and 91 will serve both Mall Transfer Station and Downtown Transit Center on every trip.

Routes 40 and 715 (weekend): Schedule and route modifications to enhance safety and performance.
