Members of the Escalon Senior Fun Bunch gathered for a relaxing, informative afternoon on Jan. 17, learning about the art of making patchwork quilts. Offering the presentation on quilting was Val Davis and attendees also had a chance to observe January birthdays within the group, play some games for prizes, share stories and then enjoy some s’mores. The group, still going strong, meets on a regular basis at the city’s Community Center and provides a chance for local senior citizens to come together for the social outreach program.
