The Oakdale Garden Club is holding its annual Autumn Garden Tour on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets are $25 and proceeds benefit high school scholarships, civic beautification and the development of the Community Garden. This is the major fundraiser for the club.

Tickets can be purchased in advance on Eventbrite, or at Morris Nursery in Riverbank, P&L Nursery in Escalon, The Greenery in Turlock, Park Greenhouse in Ripon and Westurf Nursery in Modesto. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the tour at House #1, Hutton’s Hamlet, 122 W. G St., Oakdale.

Five beautiful gardens will be featured, and attendees will see how homeowners have transformed bland yards into spectacular gardens. Ideas abound with water features, flowering shrubs, and edible fruits and vegetables tucked in and around beautifully landscaped yards. The Master Gardeners of Stanislaus County will have a booth at one of the yards to help answer any gardening questions. A raffle and silent auctions will be set up in one of the yards, with gift baskets and other items donated by generous sponsors and local businesses.
