“Mr. Cougar” Pageant: Fun And Fundraising

The inaugural “Mr. Cougar” Pageant is on the schedule for Thursday, March 9 at Escalon High School.

Presented by the EHS First Responder Leadership Team, this first of its kind event is under the direction of Makayla Wentzell, Project Leader. Contestants will participate in an evening of fun competing in categories such as Rodeo Wear, Formal Wear, Talent and Interview Questions.

“This event is a fundraiser and all proceeds will go towards a scholarship opportunity for graduating seniors in the EHS Class of 2023,” explained teacher Su Davis, helping to organize the event.

The judges panel, she added, “will feature entertaining commentary” from EHS office staffer Ilda Medina, EHS Principal Jason Furtado and Dave Bellinger, Mayor of Escalon, to name a few.

The Mr. Cougar Pageant will begin at 5 p.m. on March 9 in the EHS Theater, with the doors opening at 4:45 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $5. For more information or if you have any questions, contact Su Davis at:
