Making sure no one ate alone on Thanksgiving, the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Escalon was staged on Thursday, Nov. 23. Food and fellowship were served at the Escalon Community Center, with people coming in to enjoy the meal and some camaraderie. Others picked up meals ‘to go’ and still others received their holiday meal from volunteer delivery drivers. Organizers said the event overall seemed to run smoothly, with dozens of people enjoying a traditional holiday dinner, from salad to main dishes to pumpkin pie.
