Doctors Medical Center, Emanuel Medical Center and Doctors Hospital of Manteca are hosting two Glow Red events on Friday, Feb. 2, as part of National Wear Red Day, to raise awareness of heart disease in women. The events will feature cooking demonstrations by Celebrity Chef, TV Personality and Cookbook Author, Daniel Green. Green has created his own range of healthy gourmet foods, ingredients and smart cooking tools to help his fans around the world cook up healthy meals at home with his simple and easy-to-do practices.

In addition to being inspired by Green to eat heathy, women who come to the Glow Red events will also hear from cardiologists and have the opportunity to learn hands-only CPR, which can save a life, as well as have their blood pressure checked and take a cardiac risk assessment to better understand their own heart health.

The Glow Red luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 at Larsa Banquet Hall at 2107 E. Monte Vista Ave. in Turlock.

The Glow Red evening event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 at The Century at 927 10th St., Modesto.

Attendees may call (833) 239-2065 for tickets. Tickets for both events are $30 each or a reserved table for 10 for $300. Tickets include lunch in Turlock or wine and appetizers in Modesto. The deadline to buy tickets is Friday, Jan. 26.
