Trunk Or Treat Set

Friday is Halloween – but there’s an important Trans-Valley League home football game that night with the Escalon Cougars hosting the Ripon Indians – so the celebration of trick or treating at a local church is going to come a bit early this year.

Escalon Covenant Church is hosting its special ‘Trunk or Treat’ event tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church, 1155 Escalon Ave.

The idea behind trunk or treat is for residents to decorate their vehicles and have them parked, with the trunk open, and have candy available for youngsters who then ‘trunk or treat’ their way around the parking lot at the church. Children are welcome to come in costume for the festivities and along with the candy giveaway, the evening will also include a free hot dog dinner, games, live music and a shadow drama.

Organizers welcome all children and their families in the community to attend.
