The days leading up to Halloween were full of activities around the community, with a trunk or treat gathering at Escalon Covenant Church, harvest festivals at Collegeville and Van Allen elementary schools and a weekend harvest festival at Escalon Christian Reformed Church.

Goal for each event was to provide a fun, safe environment for families to enjoy the Halloween season. At the trunk or treat, a variety of games were offered so costumed kids could win prizes and candy. Music and a free hot dog dinner for all were also featured. The trio of harvest festivals included plenty of games, food and more. The school events each hosted a ‘creepy café’ for dinner items and a variety of baked goods, along with music, prize baskets, a pumpkin patch and the games. At Escalon Christian Reformed, there was also a bounce house and petting zoo, along with a free dinner.

Here are some photos from the local events.
