RTD Assumes Transit Service from Contractor
RTD

As of July 18 San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) is assuming delivery of all services which were previously provided by its contractor.

“As we walk down the road to recovery and prepare for the future,” said CEO Gloria G. Salazar. “We, at RTD will work together toward a unified standard of excellence across all of our services.”

The services RTD will assume include commuter routes to Sacramento and Bay Area, on-demand rideshare, and deviated fix-route services.

The assumption of service is made possible through a collaborative work with Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 256.

“We look forward to working together to enhance the standard of performance,” said ATU Local 256 President Ralph Niz. “We will continue to work in unison with RTD to provide the best transit for the residents of San Joaquin County.”

This service transition will also allow RTD to seamlessly incorporate the recommendations for overall service design and level based on the Next Gen Service Redesign Study.

San Joaquin Regional Transit District is the regional transit provider for San Joaquin County. RTD’s mission is to provide a safe, reliable, and efficient transportation system for the region. For more information visit sjRTD.com, follow RTD on Facebook and Twitter, or call (209) 943-1111.
