Rocky LaPorte Show Scheduled In Patterson
comedy show

From NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Chicago comedian Rocky LaPorte is slated to bring his everyman, streetwise style of comedy to the third installment of H.O.S.T. (Helping Others Sleep Tonight) House Comedy Night on Friday, May 19 at 8 p.m. in Patterson. The star of the Showtime comedy special ‘The Godfathers of Comedy’ delivers laughs in his trademark Brooklyn accent and has become one of the most sought after comedians in the country.

A former Chicago truck driver and dockworker, LaPorte has accumulated a slew of performances throughout his career. On the big screen, he can be seen in his second movie with Tim Allen called Crazy on the Outside.

He has also traveled with Drew Carey to Iraq to entertain the troops and was seen on the Showtime special Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie. He has filmed his own Comedy Central Presents special and in a nationwide poll was voted Comedy Central’s second most popular comedian. His clean, blue-collar style of comedy continues to increase in popularity as he travels the country.

LaPorte has opened for Louie Anderson, Garry Shandling, Drew Carey, Tim Allen, Hootie and the Blowfish and the Righteous Brothers just to name a few. He has done charity work for St Jude’s and NFL Charities as well as homeless shelters, cancer research projects and police and fire departments across the country.

H.O.S.T House presents Rocky LaPorte on Friday, May 19 at 8 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall Federated Church, 45 S. El Circulo Ave., in Patterson. General admission at the door is $20 and advance tickets can be purchased for $15.
