PIE IT FORWARD
Varni pie

A special ‘pie in the face’ event was hosted at Dent Elementary School just before the long holiday break. Here, fifth grader Jamin Miller gets a direct hit on Principal Anthony Varni, part of the festivities celebrating the successful completion of a pie sale fundraiser to help support Science Camp. Miller sold the most pies, 52, in the fifth grade fundraiser and was the student earning the right to ‘pie’ the principal. The fifth graders were challenged to sell 500 Pies/Poinsettias, with proceeds following them to sixth grade for Science Camp and they surpassed that goal, with a total of 592 being sold.
