Committed to improving the health of the community, Kaiser Permanente has donated $35,000 to Emergency Food Bank Stockton/San Joaquin on Donor Appreciation Day.

The Community Relations donation was made Friday, June 10 as part of Kaiser Permanente’s partnership with Emergency Food Bank Stockton/San Joaquin in connection with two major community events: The 10th Annual Kaiser Permanente Avenue of the Vines Half Marathon and 5K held in May 15 and the 12th Annual Run and Walk Against Hunger in November.

Kaiser Permanente in the Central Valley has proudly sponsored both events for years.

On hand for the presentation were Jennifer Mayberry, executive consultant to Kaiser Permanente Area Manager and Senior Vice President Deborah Friberg; Jerry Grandon, Kaiser Permanente Quality Leader; Mike Donaghy, Executive Director of Emergency Food Bank; Andrew Mendoza, Kaiser Permanente Community and Government Relations manager; and Tony Vice, Sergeant of Arms for the Emergency Food Bank and owner of Fleet Feet of Stockton and Modesto.

The donation will help support hunger outreach programs throughout San Joaquin County.
