Join In Farmington Christmas Celebration
Donations of toys for local youngsters are among the items being sought over a three-day period to help those in need in the area.

An annual event in the small hamlet of Farmington, the annual Community Christmas Celebration is scheduled for this Friday night, Dec. 16.

Hosted at the Farmington firehouse, corner of Escalon-Bellota Road and Highway 4, the festivities will start with the choir members of the nearby Farmington United Methodist Church singing Christmas carols at 6:30 p.m.

There will be refreshments, a variety of homemade cookies and sweet treats, along with coffee, cider and punch. Residents are encouraged to come to hear the choir sing and be on hand for the arrival of Santa Claus, who comes in via fire truck at 7 p.m.

Then, he visits with children and provides a small toy and candy for each child, while they can also have their photo taken with him. This special holiday event is sponsored by the Odd Fellows, Farmington Fire Department, the Farmington United Methodist Church and the fire district’s Board of Directors.

All are welcome to attend.
