Escalon High School’s Leadership Class is in the primary planning stages for a Veterans’ Day Rally and is looking for local veterans to come and take part in the festivities.

“Last year we had quite a lot of veterans,” said class member Taylor Laugero. “A few spoke and it was just so good.”

Local veterans that would like to speak to students at the assembly are invited to contact teacher Natalie Moring at the high school by calling 838-7073, ext. 507.

The goal is to honor veterans for their service, learn more about what they did for this country and recognize the sacrifices they made to help protect our freedom.

The special assembly is being planned for Friday, Nov. 8, though the time has not been finalized as of yet.
