The first order of business on Saturday morning was to thoroughly clean the grill before putting on the tri-tips for the annual Sober Grad Tri-Tip drive thru dinner fundraiser. Here, Robert Leal works on the grill while Bret Van Boven looks on. The fundraiser, staged each year at El Portal Middle School, sees some Escalon High seniors volunteering their time and helping deliver meals curbside to diners. Proceeds go toward putting on the graduation night Sober Grad party at the high school. The cooking crew grilled up more than 150 tri tips for the event.
