Festive Senior Night Salute For Cougars
King
Winner of the first ever King of the Couch event hosted by the Escalon High School Band was Jordan Gwartney, who settled in with guest Hailie Webster to enjoy pizza, a gift basket and a view from the end zone. Gwartney had five touchdowns earlier in the JV victory. His dad bought the winning ticket and let his son watch the varsity game from the comfy couch.Times Photos By Marg Jackson

Recognition for senior players, cheerleaders and their parents kicked off the evening on Friday, Oct. 21 at Engel Field, with members of the Class of 2017 saluted for their contributions to the football program at EHS.

Though the night didn’t end in the hoped-for varsity football victory, there was still plenty of reason to celebrate the careers of both football players and cheerleaders, honoring their dedication to their school and sport.

Following are some photos from the special night.
